Tahiti bound

     This morning we took a leisurely start to the day and enjoyed the hotel breakfast.  After breakfast,  we strolled outside near the bay.  We made it to the airport with our luggage.  Once we got on plane, we had a long smooth flight. Interesting fact, the window did not have a shade rather it had a control you could press to lighten or darken the window.  Before we landed in Tahiti we were treated to a magnificent sunset.  During our decent we saw a snippet of blue skies quickly followed by darkness at 18:00 (6 PM) local time. In the airport we were welcomed to dancing, long immigration lines, leis, and fabulous food trucks.  Near the food trucks we saw the cruise ship we board in a week.

San Francisco bound

  We enjoyed the United Club for a few hours before boarding the plane to San Francisco.  We were treated to magnificent views as we flew north along the California coast.  Our luggage took the next flight after ours due to an oversight.  The baggage agent was amazing and gave us a voucher for food as well as an overnight toiletry set.  On the way to the hotel, we found an actual YouTube office building.  Shortly after touring  South San Francisco we made it to our hotel along the bay with spectacular views of the water.  Tonight we are enjoying dinner at the House of Prime Rib.

LA bound

  We had a nice leisurely morning as we waited for the airport shuttle.   The morning air was crisp and refreshing cool breeze during breakfast.   At baggage check we had to get a hand written baggage claim since our boarding passes for both legs of our air travel had different names listed.  The difference was Mrs. and Mr. append to the end of one set of boarding passes.  Hopefully our luggage makes it to San Francisco.  When we made it to security, we met several hundred of our closest friends in the TSA line.  Luckily we were in plenty of time.  We made it the gate and waiting to board the plane.    The flight to LA was very smooth. We stayed under the clouds and had a great view of the passing U. S. below us as we flew we west.

Pre-Travel Day

.  Today started very early and Linda and I differed on how time factored in the day.  We made it to work on time.  The next thing I knew it was lunch time and then time to lead for the day.  Linda on the other hand felt the day seemed like to drag on slowly.  When we left work for the day and started loading the vehicle, Rob noted this took longer than expected.   Once we settled in for the evening, we enjoyed a much deserved nights rest.  We checked into our flight for tomorrow and are excited to start our vacation to the South Pacific.
